THEVTIG is an independent Economic Intelligence initiative dedicated to transforming fragmented public, private, and alternative data into trusted strategic intelligence.
By integrating economics, artificial intelligence, data science, econometrics, and policy analysis, we help governments, financial institutions, development organizations, businesses, and researchers make better evidence-based strategic decisions.
We believe that Artificial Intelligence reaches its full potential only when it is built upon representative information, rigorous analysis, responsible governance, and strong institutions. Our mission is to bridge the gap between data and decisions by advancing Economic Intelligence that creates measurable public value.
To build Africa's information infrastructure for AI-driven Economic Intelligence, empowering institutions to make informed, responsible, and forward-looking strategic decisions.
We envision an Africa where representative data, responsible Artificial Intelligence, and trusted Economic Intelligence strengthen economic resilience, evidence-based policymaking, sustainable investment, and inclusive development.
Artificial Intelligence is transforming how institutions understand economies, markets, and societies. Yet AI can only learn from the information available to it. When important economic activities remain fragmented, disconnected, or underrepresented, even the most advanced AI systems produce incomplete intelligence.
THEVTIG was founded to address this challenge. We work at the intersection of economics, data, and technology to transform information into trusted Economic Intelligence that supports better strategic decisions for Africa's public and private sectors.
Our work is founded on six principles: Integrity in everything we do; Excellence in every analysis; Innovation in every solution; Responsible AI in every technology we advance; Collaboration across institutions and disciplines; and Public Value as the purpose behind every insight we generate.
